The NYA Story
Our Past
The story of New York Academy begins with the story of its founders. Dr. Mohan Babu started his career as a teacher, but in 1968, with a passion for cinema and art, he entered the film industry. In his career span of four decades, he acted in more than 560 films and produced more than 60 films. To express his appreciation for his roots, Dr. Mohan Babu established the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust in 1992. With a goal to provide quality education to young minds to lift them to a better social and economic situation, he has been dedicated to the field of education ever since. Since its inception, parents of over 14,000 students have placed their trust in Vidyanikethan, believing in its educational practices and its reputed character building ecosystem.
Our Inception
NYA is an offspring of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust and was brought to light by Dr. Babu’s son Vishnu Manchu. Due to the constantly changing scenario in the education system, Chairman Manchu saw a demand for progressive education and exceptional teaching in Hyderabad.
At NYA, we place a huge value on creativity and creating an educational program that will help our students fall in love with learning. We also believe community is everything when it comes to learning; hence, we have built a healthy, warm, safe and nurturing environment. Our founders considered their past and built the kind of system they wish they had growing up.
